H.264 player for Windows mobile

 

With new handheld devices and broadcasting and compression standards, mobile video is becoming more popular than ever. H.264/AVC is the preferred video compression standard for these applications because of high quality and low data rates. To address the demanding needs of the customers FastVDO offers highly optimized H.264 Decoder for handheld devices with Windows® Mobile 5.0 running on Intel® XscaleTM processors. Now users can enjoy the pristine quality video at low bitrates of H.264 based compression on the go. The decoder is optimized for faster decoding with lower memory requirements. H.264 decoder libraries are capable to handle streaming and offline decoding. 

FastVDO also has a DirectShow filter implementation of the decoder to playback H.264 on Windows Media player which makes it user friendly and enables applications like streaming video, on-demand video and video playback. The DirectShow filter can play MPEG-2 TS files with h.264 video and mp3 audio.
The decoder is H.264 / AVC Baseline profile compatible and support playback resolutions of QVGA up to 15 frames per second.

  • Download sample clips, unzip and transfer to your Pocket PC
  • Click on the H.264 clips to play them in Windows Media Player
